AMS Healthcare Excited to Announce our Fourth Cohort of AMS-Fitzgerald Fellowships in AI and Human-Centered Leadership
AMS Healthcare Welcomes Fourth Cohort of AMS-Fitzgerald Fellows in AI and Human-Centred Leadership
AMS Healthcare is delighted to welcome 13 accomplished health leaders as the fourth cohort of AMS-Fitzgerald Fellows in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Centred Leadership.
Created in partnership with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, the two-year Fellowship equips early- and mid-career health system leaders with the knowledge, skills and capacity to navigate and help shape the rapidly evolving role of AI in healthcare, public health and health systems.
The Fellowship reflects AMS Healthcare’s commitment to invest in exceptional leaders, convene them with peers and experts, and strengthen their ability to influence the future of healthcare. Through intensive learning, mentorship and a community of practice, Fellows explore AI, health system leadership, ethics, law, data science and human-centred design while building relationships across disciplines and organizations.
Over two years, each Fellow designs and implements a human-centred AI or digital transformation project within their own organization, putting learning into practice and creating opportunities for impact beyond the Fellowship itself. At the heart of the program is a commitment to ensuring that as technology transforms healthcare, people and the relationships that make care compassionate, remain central.
“At AMS Healthcare, we believe that investing in exceptional leaders is one of the most powerful ways we can influence the future of healthcare,” said Helen Angus, CEO of AMS Healthcare. “This new cohort brings an extraordinary range of experience and perspectives. By bringing these leaders together to learn from one another, challenge assumptions and translate ideas into action, we are helping build the leadership capacity needed to ensure AI contributes to healthcare that remains fundamentally human and compassionate.”
The fourth cohort joins a growing community of AMS-Fitzgerald Fellows working at the intersection of AI, healthcare and human-centred leadership. Together, they are building a network of leaders equipped not simply to respond to technological change, but to help shape it—advancing innovation while keeping compassion and humanity at the centre of healthcare.
