At AMS’s 2019 annual conference, Professor Elizabeth Teisberg made a presentation to a packed audience. Her talk explored the notion of value in healthcare and how we can achieve better health outcomes for the money we spend. Elizabeth has generously shared the slides from her presentation. See how we can anticipate patients’ needs and design the care experience with integrated teams for better health outcomes during care. 

Professor Teisberg is the Executive Director at the Value Institute for Health & Care at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. She’s also a professor in medical education at the same school and a Senior Associate at Harvard’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness.  She co-authored Redefining Health Care with Michael Porter, a renowned authority on competitive strategy. Her forthcoming book is called Capability, Comfort and Calm: Designing Health Care Services for Excellence and Empathy.
