Parisa Osivand currently develops the next generation of policies and processes in governing health data which will be leveraged in Health AI and ML applications at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

Parisa is deeply passionate about harnessing the power of data and artificial intelligence to transform healthcare. However, it is imperative to recognize the risks and limitations of AI, especially when it comes to embedded bias and discrimination in data or models. With a multidisciplinary background in Health Informatics, privacy, and AI governance, Parisa has been actively engaged in developing frameworks to address the ethical challenges posed by AI advancements.
