Azadeh’s project was developed with people with lived experience of homelessness, shelter staff, and healthcare providers. Using a co-designed mobile tool that includes voice-based screening and AI-supported health navigation, her team will examine how AI affects trust, relationships, and access to care. Their goal is to generate practical guidance for using AI in ways that reduce strain on shelter-based health services, support healthcare navigation, and help people experiencing homelessness feel treated with compassion while accessing care.
