People with spinal cord injury (SCI) often deal with medical issues that persist long after leaving the hospital. These complex challenges can involve the skin, bone, heart, and much more. Telerehabilitation can help improve access to and quality of health services for community-dwelling individuals with SCI. This option allows clients to connect remotely to their appointments to receive the rehabilitation they need. However, there lacks research on the landscape of compassionate care delivery within a digital environment for this population. To address this gap, Lovisa’s research team will survey and interview people with SCI who have received telerehabilitation services in Ontario.
