Themes:
  • Compassionate care
  • Person-centred communication
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence

Clinical conversations are at the heart of compassionate care, yet the way health information is documented and shared can influence how patients understand and engage with their care. Geetha’s project will introduce an AI scribe that listens to clinical conversations and generates both a clinical note and an easy-to-understand patient summary. Through co-design with people with lived experience, clinicians, and care teams, they will develop patient summaries that are accurate, respectful, and aligned with the needs of diverse communities. By creating more accessible and meaningful communication, this project aims to make care more transparent and relational, supporting shared decision-making, fostering trust, and strengthening the human connection at the centre of the clinical consultation.
