AMS Healthcare Announces Senior Fellows and Executive-in-Residence Program
AMS Healthcare is pleased to announce an exciting evolution in our network — the launch of the AMS Healthcare Senior Fellows and Executive-in-Residence Program.
This initiative engages seasoned leaders from healthcare, public health, policy, industry, and academia to mentor AMS Fellows and Grantees and to advance thought leadership that amplifies our mission of maximizing compassion in healthcare in the AI era.
These distinguished leaders will provide mentorship, offer strategic insight, and help shape innovative approaches that ensure AMS’ programs remain impactful and future focused. Their experience and perspectives will deepen the collective learning across our growing community.
We are honoured to welcome as Senior Fellows:
- Laura Desveaux, Director, Learning Health System Leadership Center, Institute for Better Health, Trillium Health Partners
- Paula Rowland, Assistant Professor, Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, University of Toronto
- David Wiljer, Executive Director, Education, Technology & Innovation, University Health Network
And joining them as our inaugural Executive-in-Residence:

“The Senior Fellows and Executive-in-Residence Program represents an important evolution in AMS Healthcare’s leadership development work,” said Helen Angus, CEO of AMS Healthcare. “By engaging some of Canada’s most respected health system thinkers, we’re ensuring that AMS continues to lead in shaping a healthcare system where innovation and compassion go hand in hand.”
