AMS Healthcare Announces New CEO

Gail Paech’s Legacy at AMS Healthcare

After ten years at the helm of AMS Healthcare, Gail Paech will be ending her tenure on June 30th, 2022.  In the past decade she has grown AMS from an organization focused on the history of medicine, into one committed not only to broadly advancing the humanities in healthcare but also to enhance humanism as a guiding principle in the delivery of care by all the professions. Gail understood the impact that the rapid integration of technology in healthcare would have ahead of many.  She worked to refocus AMS’ initiatives to include promoting the education and practice of compassionate care; fostering new delivery models of compassionate care; and facilitating the leadership needed to realize the promise of technology, while safeguarding humanistic care in the system.  We are sure that she will continue to put her boundless energy and limitless skills to use tackling the healthcare challenges of our times.
