Co-Creating Digital Stigma Reduction Curricula
This project aims to design, implement and evaluate digital stigma reduction curricula which can be scaled and spread across diverse contexts through a digitally focused knowledge translation strategy. Leveraging an existing implicit stigma reduction curriculum (created through an earlier AMS funded Fellowship) that has demonstrated promising results, this project seeks to understand how digital technology and social media enhance scale and spread of compassionate curricula. The project will conduct a qualitative exploration of the how digital technology can amplify patient voice and then seek to co-design curricula in consultation with individuals with lived experience and health professionals. Through effective and impactful educational interventions to reduce stigma, the project seeks to enhance compassionate care for individuals with lived experience of mental illness/addictions. The products of this work will also inform efforts to spread compassionate curricula through digital knowledge translation.
