Two AMS Hannah Chairs Published in Heritage Matters Magazine

Congratulations to our Hannah Chairs , Drs. Jacalyn Duffin and Shelley McKellar on their recently published articles in Heritage Matters Magazine.

Dr. Jacalyn Duffin’s article,  Ontario’s Medical Legacy outlines the many ways doctors from Ontario helped to shape the face of medicine, dating back to the early 1800’s our discovery of insulin, the identification of stem cells and the introduction of evidence-based care as a scientific norm.

Dr. Shelley McKellar’s article, Repairing Hearts: Innovations in Cardiac Surgery  discusses the many ways doctors in Ontario have lead the charge in advancing heart surgery methods including the introduction of the hypothermia method and the creation of external pacemakers.
