Ron Sapsford is Past Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Medical Association. He has had a long career in health services management including, the position of Deputy Minister of Health and Long-Term Care for Ontario and Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation.
He has held several positions at the Ministry of Health including, Assistant Deputy Minister of Institutional and Community Services as well as Vice-President, Teaching Hospitals, and Chief Operating Officer with the Ontario Hospital Association.
He currently serves on the Boards of The Change Foundation, Associated Medical Services, Schlegel Health Care Inc. and is a member of the Salvation Army National Advisory Board. He was awarded the Trudeau Medal, as a Distinguished Alumni of the School of Management, University of Ottawa. Mr. Sapsford holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Ottawa.
