CAHN has benefitted from funding from AMS, since its inception. AMS has helped to support conference keynote speakers and since 2004, has also supplied some funding to support graduate travel to CAHN conferences. In 2014, AMS renewed their funding commitment to the organization for another 5 years, to support the newly named Jason Hannah Lecture at its Annual Conference.
The 2015 CAHN/ACHN Annual Conference took place at the 2015 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences from May 29- June 1 in Ottawa, ON.
The 2016 Annual Conference Brains, Guts and Gumption: Historical Perspectives on Nursing Education, Practice and Entrepreneurship will be held in Vancouver, June 16th -18th.
